The Spring or Vernal Equinox is a point of perfect balance on our journey through the Wheel of the
Year. Night and day are of equal length and in perfect equilibrium dark and light, masculine and feminine, inner and outer in perfect balance. It’s a time for planning and sowing both literally and metaphorically; an opportunity to start new projects, set new goals and make changes in your life.
On this day we will emerge back into the outside world and we will have chance to reflect deeply through a
labyrinth walk and intuitive card guidance to consider what we have learnt during the winter months.
We will also take time setting intentions and goals through a candle ceremony around a fire, which symbolises the ignition of our creativity and rebirth for the year to come.
We celebrate a few days before the Equinox on St Patricks Day, so please feel free to wear something green or sport a Shamrock and Amber will interweave some honouring of the Celtic traditions of this festival throughout the day.
There will be time to share a nourishing warm vegetarian lunch which will be provided, as well as refreshments.
This retreat day takes place at a beautiful private home, garden, and woodlands deep in the Oxfordshire countryside which Penel has owned with her husband and family for the past 5 years. Everything has been lovingly restored (and more) with a deep connection to the land and trees forged over this time. It is a magical space and place, and we are really fortunate to be able to access such magic with this joyous celebration of our return to the light.
So, expect music feasting and joy all round!
We hope you’ll join us.
